Denise Richards to Protect Kids

Denise Richards arrived in New York with ex-husband Charlie Sheen to treat their kids to their first trip to the Big Apple and promote her upcoming arc on Spike's Blue Mountain State — then, as you probably know, she got a little sidetracked.In the wee hours of Tuesday, Sheen checked himself into a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, while the kids were none the wiser. "All they know is they had a great time in New York, they got to see their first play on Broadway, they went on a carriage ride, they had a wonderful time with Mom and Dad," Richards told us before adding, "Charlie was here with us doing those things."Denise Richards, 39, says she wanted to fulfill her obligation to promote the show about the on- and off-field antics of a fictional college football powerhouse. "I have a job to do and it's important to me, the show's important to me, and I think it's important to keep moving forward," she says. The actress says there are some things in the latest series that are "slightly inappropriate and able to get away with a little bit more on this show." Richards's character, Debra, is the meddling ex-wife of head football coach Marty Daniels, played by former football player Ed Marinaro. Her character also has "a little fun flirtation with one of the hot football players."
Richards has a sense of humor about the kinds of roles she often plays. She recently filmed a Funny or Die video promoting her fun bags— gift bags she gives out at kids' birthday parties. "I always think it's good to poke fun at yourself once in awhile," she says about the mock promo. Besides Blue Mountain State and partnering with salon owner Cristophe on a hair care line, Richards is writing a memoir that she promises is not a tell-all.

Black cast in 'Mad Men' creator's film debut

Jack Black has been cast in Mad Men dvd creator Matthew Weiner's feature film debut, it has been reported.
Now that Mad Men dvd box set has finished its latest season, Weiner will shortly pick up his directing duties on the movie You Are Here. The film was put on hold last year, leading to the loss of its original stars, including Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Jennifer Aniston.

Cristiano Ronaldo had the first four-goal game of his career to lead Real Madrid over Racing Santander 6-1 in the Spanish league Saturday, and Lionel Messi had two goals in Barcelona’s 2-0 win at last-place Zaragoza.

'Anarchy' exec: 'New season divides fans'

Sons of Anarchy DVD creator Kurt Sutter has admitted that the current third season has divided fans.

Sutter suggested on his blog that the new run "looks like it's dividing the brains from the brawn".

"Fans that come to the show for character, relationships, emotional arcs and the mythology are relishing the twists, turns and reveals of season three," he claimed. "But the viewers who show up for some sort of cathartic testosterone rush are generally a little disappointed in the direction we are going in."

The writer also encouraged disappointed viewers to "stick around" for future episodes.

"I understand that and I suppose it's a risk to push the boundaries of the show," he said. "But I have a very specific narrative vision for Sons of Anarchy dvd box set and if I am lucky enough to get seven seasons, the events in season three are crucial to that overall arc."

He concluded: "This season is constantly on the ramp up the stakes and i think most folks will find the pay-off very gratifying."

Sons of Anarchy Box Set continues on Tuesdays at 10pm on FX.

Robert Englund, who you'll also be able to discover on next Monday's Halloween-themed Chuck dvd, will appear on Supernatural dvd as a character often known as "Dr. Robert." "Hunters often find themselves in situations where they require medical help but can't exactly stroll into an ER dvd," explained exec producer Sera Gamble to EW. "Robert plays an unlicensed doc who makes his living stitching folks up on the down low. One of our guys goes to him with a life-or-death problem."

'Lost' creators to pitch new project

Lost DVD creator Damon Lindelof is reportedly involved with an upcoming TV pilot by former Lost series dvd producers Edward Katsis and Adam Hotowitz.Lindelof will serve as a consultant on the show, which will follow a fairytale theme.The duo will pitch the potential series to ABC Studios, a company at which both producers have an overall TV deal.Few details about the project have been revealed, but it is thought to focus on a lead female character.Lindelof is best known for co-creating Lost DVD Boxset with JJ Abrams and also co-writing Abrams's 2009 Star Trek reboot.
