Doctor Who on dvd has come top in a poll listing the greatest heroes dvd 1-4 in science-fiction film and television.
The Doctor dvd set was awarded the title of 'Favourite Hero' in the list compiled by SFX, beating Firefly dvds 's Malcolm Reynolds into second place.
Other high-ranking characters included Dean Winchester from Supernatural seasons 1-5, Star Wars smuggler Han Solo and Ianto Jones from Who spinoff Torchwood box set.
It was previously announced that Doctor Who villains the Daleks dvd had come top in a poll listing the greatest sci-fi monsters. (Written by Camille)
